NOW HIRING: Event Admin Support Staff – July 2025

Join Rodgers Security Solutions in Supporting a High-Profile Summer Event in Anaheim, California, from July 7-13!

We are hiring 4-6 reliable, organized, and professional admin support personnel to assist with security operations during a large-scale event. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in shift coordination, basic HR functions, and on-site logistics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clock in and out all guards and supervisors at the start and end of each shift using our digital time clock system (backup paper time sheets are made available in case of technical outages)
  • Maintain and update daily attendance logs and shift rosters
  • Distribute uniforms and credentials to on-site personnel
  • Secure and monitor the command post to prevent unauthorized access or tampering with company equipment, supplies, or materials
  • Restock company-provided snack and refreshment inventory throughout the shift to ensure availability for on-duty guards and staff
  • Transmit shift information and incident updates to supervisors via walkie-talkie or internal team communication app
  • Submit all completed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation to HR in a timely and organized manner
  • Provide support to site supervisors and leadership as directed

Event support staff are expected to represent Rodgers Security Solutions with the highest standards of professionalism. In addition to fulfilling your shift duties, you are expected to embody the following values throughout your assignment:

Professionalism

  • Maintain a calm, courteous, and respectful demeanor at all times, especially under pressure.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with security personnel, venue staff, supervisors, and event guests.
  • Avoid gossip, excessive personal phone use, or unprofessional behavior while on duty.

Reliability

  • Show up on time, ready to work, in the correct uniform.
  • Follow instructions from site supervisors and complete assigned tasks promptly.
  • Avoid no-call/no-shows—failure to report without notice may result in immediate removal and disqualification from future work.

Accountability

  • Own your role and take responsibility for your actions.
  • Accurately track shift check-ins and documentation without shortcuts.
  • Report issues, conflicts, or emergencies immediately to your Lead or Supervisor.

Confidentiality & Discretion

  • Do not share private information about the event, guests, security details, or staffing operations.
  • Use discretion when handling incident reports, personnel records, or event materials.

Team-Oriented Mindset

  • Be adaptable and willing to help where needed.
  • Support your fellow team members with patience and professionalism.
  • Represent RSS positively at all times—your attitude reflects on the entire team.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be age 18+ with a valid State-issued Identification Card or Driver’s License
  • Reliable transportation to and from the event
  • Must attend:
    • Mandatory Ethics & Harassment Training (Online): All workers assigned to represent Rodgers Security Solutions, regardless of duration or employment status, are required to complete the Ethics and Harassment Prevention Training before receiving their site assignment or uniform. A link to the training will be sent to you after your initial paperwork has been submitted and verified.
    • Online Orientation/Briefing: A link will be sent to you after your initial paperwork has been submitted and verified.
    • On-site walk-through (date TBA: usually 1-2 days before event start date)
  • Must be available to work shifts during:
    • July 7–13
    • Tentative load-in and load-out dates for Anaheim event: July 7-9 and July 13
      • Load-in (or move-in/setup): These are the days when the event crew brings in equipment, supplies, decor, staging, signage, and other necessary materials to set up the event. This setup takes place 1-3 days before the event start date. Our guards will be there to ensure 24-hour security.
      • Load-out (or breakdown/move-out): For 1-2 days after the event concludes, the event crew will remove all equipment, materials, and trash and reset the venue to its original condition. Our guards will be there to ensure 24-hour security.
      • During load-in and load-out, event attendees will not be on the premises.

Shifts

  • Event staff will be offered 6 to 8-hour shifts (on average). There will be morning and afternoon shifts available.
  • You will have the opportunity to state your shift availability in your application.
  • The event has different start and end times each day, which means our shift times will reflect the event hours.
  • Shift assignments will be provided during the in-person briefing/walk-through or before your start day

Examples of Possible Shifts

The shift times could be any variation of the following:

  • Morning: 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Morning: 6:30 AM – 1 PM
  • Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Evening: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Evening: 6:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Please Note: These start times could be earlier or later, as the clients make schedule adjustments, we must also do the same. We just want to give you a better understanding of how a shift could possibly look. Also, there is no evening shift on July 13th, the last day of the event, because the event ends early that day.


Pay Rate

$18.00–$20.00 per hour
(Rate based on experience and assignment)

Dress Code Requirements

  • Dress professionally, with the understanding that you will be interacting with RSS management and employees, and may interact frequently with our client, the public, and potential clients. Your image and behavior represent our brand and reputation.
  • If you wear Pants (no leggings, joggers, or sagging pants): You may be asked to wear all-black pants or tan pants
  • Comfortable shoes (Must be clean, comfortable, and suitable for walking)
    (Strongly advise against high heels, men’s dress shoes, and any shoes that are not slip-resistant)
  • Professional grooming and neutral personal hygiene
  • Collared shirt or blouse, polo, or button-up
    (RSS-issued shirt if available, or plain black polo/button-up with no visible logos)

Optional but Recommended:

  • Backup shirt or socks in case of spills/sweat
  • Sweater or zip-up layer (no logos) for temperature shifts
  • Crossbody bag or admin pouch to carry pens, shift logs, radio, etc.

Not Permitted:

  • ❌ No sagging pants: Please wear a belt to prevent this
  • ❌ Overly casual or flashy clothing or accessories
  • ❌ Yoga pants, pajama pants, rompers, ripped clothing, or overly tight/loose garments.
  • ❌ Graphic tees or hats, shirts, or hats with offensive language or imagery
  • ❌ Shorts, leggings, mini skirts, skorts, or athletic wear
  • ❌ Slippers, slides, or platform shoes
  • ❌ Fishnet tops or bottoms
  • ❌ Charms or draping chains from belt loops, belts, buckles, or pockets.
  • ❌ Durags, wave caps, wrap caps, pineapple caps or wraps, scarves, bonnets, or similar headwear
    • The only approved headwear includes:
    • Company-issued hats or branded headwear, if required for the assignment
    • Religious or culturally significant head coverings, as protected under California law and federal anti-discrimination laws
    • If you wear religious or cultural headwear and would like to notify the staffing team in advance for documentation purposes, you may do so, but no one is required to explain or justify the protected expression of culture or faith.
    • Medical Accommodations for Headwear
      If an employee needs to wear headwear for medical reasons—such as alopecia, chemotherapy, or other medically documented conditions—they should notify HR or their Lead Event Supervisor in advance so appropriate accommodations can be made discreetly and respectfully.

Appearance Reminder:

Admin staff must be neat, organized, and ready to interact with clients, vendors, or senior RSS leadership at any time. Uniform violations may result in removal from shift duties or disqualification from future assignments.
