Temporary Employment Disclosure – California Event Staffing

NOTICE TO TEMPORARY EVENT STAFF

Rodgers Security Solutions, Inc. (“RSS”) engages individuals as temporary, at-will employees for short-term security assignments in support of specific events. Your participation in this role is governed by the terms outlined below and does not establish permanent or ongoing employment.

Nature of Employment:

You are being hired as a temporary employee for specific event-related work that is scheduled to occur over a defined period, typically between 1 to 14 consecutive days, including training and event coverage.

  • This assignment is project-based and limited in scope and duration.
  • Once the event concludes, your active employment with RSS will automatically end unless you are offered and accept another assignment.
  • You will be notified in writing (email or text message) if additional work becomes available, but no future assignments are guaranteed.

At-Will Employment:

In accordance with California law, your employment is at-will. This means that either you or RSS may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, unless otherwise specified in writing.

Unemployment Disclaimer:

Although you may be eligible to apply for unemployment benefits under California law, RSS makes no representation or guarantee that such benefits will be approved. Decisions regarding unemployment eligibility are made solely by the California Employment Development Department (EDD).

Filing for unemployment following short-term event work may be scrutinized by EDD, especially in cases where:

  • You were informed of the temporary nature of the role,
  • You voluntarily decline future assignments,
  • Or you do not meet the availability criteria required for continued work in the industry.

Fraudulent or misleading unemployment claims may result in disqualification of benefits, legal penalties, and notification to relevant state authorities.

Expectations & Rehire Consideration:

  • Showing up on time, in uniform, and fulfilling the full scope of your duties may qualify you for future RSS assignments.
  • No-show/no-call absences, violations of policy, or failure to complete assigned shifts may disqualify you from future work opportunities with RSS or its partners.

By continuing with this onboarding process, you acknowledge that you understand and accept the terms outlined above.
